I was able to trust the quality of their work and management, despite building from afar.
Mill Bay Rancher
Made to Last was contacted by out-of-province clients to build Mill Bay Rancher to replace a home that had burned down. For this build, the intention of our clients was to sell the home immediately, and not to live in it themselves. This type of home is often referred to as a “Spec Home.” These clients chose Made to Last Custom Homes because they were seeking a home builder with good communication that could produce a quality final product. After completion, this rancher was listed and sold immediately.
Mill Bay Rancher is 1,406 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It features an open layout with a vaulted ceiling in the living room and modern finishes that would appeal to a wide variety of homeowners. Further, the beautiful, bright, and open kitchen has natural stone counters and a spacious island. In addition, other features of this rancher include a gas fireplace and a covered back patio, and a covered front porch. With durability and longevity in mind for this home, we installed fibreglass shingles on the roof (30-year lifespan), with fibre cement shingles and panels, in addition to corrugated metal siding to ensure this home will look great for years to come.
This was a unique home build for Made to Last. Specializing in custom homes means that our builds are often site-specific with unique home plans that are designed specifically for our clients and the site that they’ve chosen. Every detail is chosen according to the future home-owners individual tastes. With this spec home, our clients did not intend to live in the home themselves, so the details for this home were chosen with a wide appeal in mind.
