Lakeview Oasis
Lakeview Oasis is a large modern-style home in Lake Cowichan. This home has seven bedrooms and four bathrooms over three levels. It sits on a raised half-acre property in the Marble Bay estates, with lake views of beautiful Cowichan Lake.
Made to Last named this home Lakeview Oasis because the concrete for the footings was poured during BC’s heat dome of 2021. The close proximity to Cowichan Lake offered some relief for our team from the scorching temperatures.
The main level of this home is arranged to maintain privacy. The primary suite, mudroom, laundry room, office, and garage access are all located at one end of the home. The kitchen, eating area, dining room and living room are located at the other end. Lakeview Oasis offers plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the gorgeous location with outdoor patio space.
This custom home in Lake Cowichan offers an amazing woodshop and mechanical shop for the homeowner. The large four bay garage has two of the bays separated for dedicated workshop needs. Each bay has heat, power, and ventilation to meet the specific needs of our client.
Energy efficiency was also a key concern of this homeowner, and the custom home was built with many upgrades. Made to Last’s experience as an award-winning builder who specializes in energy efficiency was a great match for our client’s goals.
This large home provided many unique challenges while building. This included escalating material costs, a diminishing labour supply, and some extreme weather events. Our team was very proud of the final result.
Made to Last Custom Homes started this home as we finished our our Lakeside Modern Farmhouse which is located in the same neighbourhood. Also, check out Marble Bay Lake House, which we completed on the same street two years earlier.
