Our Lakeside Modern Farmhouse has been built in the Woodland Shores area of Lake Cowichan. This home was planned with affordability in mind and features cost-effective finishing choices without compromising on quality. The homeowners chose a two-story floor plan as opposed to a rancher with this in mind.

The Lakeside Modern Farmhouse has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The 784 sq. ft. main floor features open concept living while the upper floor hosts the bedrooms for this family. The home is 1,520 sq. ft. total over both levels, with a 384 sq. ft. attached garage.

The exterior of this home features board and batten siding, and a front porch with a standing seam steel roof. The black exterior window frames, painted front door, and rustic modern lighting fixtures complete the modern farmhouse look.

The clients have planned contemporary and low-maintenance to complement their new home. The front yard consists mainly of blasted rock, with flower beds of shrubs and grasses surrounding the porch. The backyard is split into four main activity zones using large stepping stones and pea gravel. Planter boxes, fruit trees, and evergreens are also featured in this lakeside home.
